Cachaca
Cachaca is Brazil's favourite spirit. Made from sugarcane, it's the key ingredient in the famous Brazilian cocktail Caipirinha. Cachaca is either white (clear, which means it is not aged) or yellow (which means it has been aged in barrels). The yellow, aged variety is smoother and can be drunk straight by itself whereas the white Cachaca is best used in cocktails.
