Temjanika

The Temjanika grape originated in the Middle East and is commonly grown in the Tikvesh region of Macedonia and parts of Serbia.

When the grape has ripened it is known to have a very strong scent of thyme, capable of being sensed metres away.

The Temjanika grape variety is used to create semi-dry and dessert Muscat wines of high-quality.

Usually, the wine displays a strong yellow-gold colour with slight green colouring. The grape is best grown in warmer climates. It produces an average yield of thick-skinned, medium-sized grapes.

It is recommended to enjoy a glass of Temjanika wine with light food such as seafood or desserts.
