Rosé with José

Wine

Rosé - the beautiful pink wine that adds some vibrant colour to the dining table. Rosés are a popular choice because of their fruity, less heavy body than red wine.

Our annual Rosé with José promotion during February and March was popular once again, not only with us as we indulged in our favourites, but our customers were keen to try a few of our best pinks. This year we introduced the #roséwithjosé hashtag. José is the owner of Copper & Oak and brother Nelio couldn’t pass up the opportunity of the little rhyme. Rosés even featured in our Valentine’s Day post this year when we recommended the lads pick up a special bottle of rosé rather than a bunch of roses!

Best Food Pairings with for Rosé Wines

It’s relatively easy deciding what type of foods to accompany a red or white wine but it’s not so easy when it comes to a rosé. You don’t want a heavy meal because your rosé is quite light but what foods should you choose to pair with your favourite style of rosé?

Light dry rosé - similar to crisp white wines, try these with salads, seafood, grilled fish and light pasta dishes.

Medium bodied dry rosé - these wines can be accompanied with foods full of flavour such as a paella, grilled chicken, fish or lamb with herbs.

Elegant fruity rosés - these are great if you are planning a seafood extravaganza as they pair beautifully with lobster, salmon and tuna.

Full bodied fruity rosés - if you are firing up the BBQ these are perfect to serve chilled with all kinds of barbecued meats or a spicy curry.

Sparkling rosés - think afternoon tea parties for the lighter drier sparklings paired with cupcakes, tarts and muffins.

Rosé champagne - lighter champagnes can be paired with salads, seafood and canapés while the heavier ones are delightful with lobster or rare lamb.

Spoilt for Choice

Copper & Oak stocks a wide range of Western Australian and interstate pink rosés to choose from. We can’t go past this lineup.
