Session Quad style. A very special “small beer" made from the second runnings of the 2018 Belgian Quadrupel. This beer is named after the quote from Shakespeare's King Henry VI play where the rebel leader Jack Cade said that if he were king he would do several things "And I will make it felony to drink small beer". Artisan often jokes that their “Mid-Strength” beers are about 6.5%: mid-way between the Quad and ther lower ABV beers, so we made a special one! This beer tastes just like our Quad but lower in its intensity so it’s sessionable. Of course, all of our beers are sessionable, but some sessions are a lot shorter than others… The aroma and palate are malt and yeast forward presenting complex fruit, spice, toffee, and dried fruit.
