Back when Cushwa Brewing created their Lock 44 coffee blend with River Bottom Roasters, they designed with the mindset of making it not only be a delicious morning cup of coffee, but also as a blend that could be utilized in multiple different beer styles. For this approach, they took a cream ale base, added lactose, then dosed it with heavy amounts of our RBR Lock 44 coffee blend. While drinking this beer you’ll find tasting notes reminiscent of a French Vanilla Latte, with a nice drinkability thanks to the cream ale base.
