The Sierra Nevada Brewing Company was founded in 1980 by Ken Grossman. Beer-making was different in the 1980’s - small-scale breweries and microbreweries were not really a thing yet, so equipment was difficult to come by.
Ken learnt to weld and made most of his brewery from old dairy farm equipment. Grossman’s determination and hard work helped his company grow to play an instrumental part in creating the American craft beer revolution.
