Petit Meslier is a rare variety but plays a valuable role in some of the world’s great sparkling wines. Known as a variety that can retain freshness under a range of climatic conditions, it produces a crisp base wine with great line and length. This base is then bottled and aged on lees for five years, to build a complex and balanced sparkling wine.
Nose: Apple, lemon pith, toasted brioche and a touch of honeycomb.
Palate: Delicate citrus and spiced apple flavours with gentle acidity and a creamy mid palate. Generous depth and persistence of flavour with a fine effervescence on the finish.
