Stagg JR is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey made by the Buffalo Trace Distillery. Stagg JR is rightfully named after George T. Stagg, who was one of the founding forefathers of the Buffalo Trace Distillery.
He is highly regarded as being a pioneer in the bourbon industry and is said to have built one of the most successful American distilleries of the 19th century.
Stagg JR has rich tasting notes of chocolate and brown sugar that are complemented nicely with a mix of full, bold spices. The drink is finished off with soft hints of cherries and cloves.
Recently at the 2018 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Stagg JR was awarded the prestigious gold medal.
