E.H. Taylor Single Barrel is a dedication to Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr., who is often referred to as one of the most influential people responsible for the rise of the bourbon industry.
Edmund Haynes Taylor would purchase a distillery in the 18th Century that would go on to become the Buffalo Trace Distillery. Many of his methods developed are still used today in distilleries, including aging barrels in climate controlled warehouses.
The E.H Taylor Single Barrel is aged in Warehouse C at the Buffalo Trace Distillery, which dates back to being built in 1881 by the man himself.
The barrels are carefully hand selected and bottled at an impressive 100 proof. The bottle is a delightful mix of flavours including dried figs and butterscotch, balanced perfectly with subtle notes of tobacco and dark spices.
