The Balvenie distillery was built in 1892 by William Grant and whisky production would commence one year later.
In 1971, the very first bottle of The Balvenie single malt whisky is released and three years later David C. Stewart would become Malt Master of The Balvenie.
The Balvenie Tun 1509 is created after Malt Master, David C Stewart, hand-picks 42 of the best casks from the distilleries aged whiskies. The casks consist of 35 traditional American oak barrels and seven European oak sherry butts.
The whisky is transferred to Tun 1509 where they are kept for months before they are bottled.
Balvenie Tun delivers rich aromas to the nose and offers a mix of strong floral and spice notes.
